With the jaguar as its central theme, the artist played with the amazing colors of the surrounding birds. A study of the Brazilian flora frames the whole in a luxuriant and overwhelming vegetation. But he also had a “secret” goal: make people notice the astonishing diversity of the fauna in South America – a fauna that will likely disappear if mankind keeps destroying the forest. This carré would certainly not have been without the beauty of all these wild animals.
