Hermès The Angler's Companion Scarf

This rare scarf is based on an engraving from the book “The Compleat Angler” by Isaak Walton. The four corners of the engraving feature a portrait of the author of this famous book on fishing. The square features 13 oval paintings, each representing a species of British freshwater fish, along with its name and fishing season. Next to each picture, a floating label gives details of when and where to find the fish, as well as what bait to use.
