Based on the design of the scarf La folle parade: This young French illustrator signs her first scarf, translating her fanciful universe onto silk. It was an eighteenth-century engraving depicting a carnival float from Rome that inspired this Folle Parade, an “enchanting masquerade, straight out of a chest of marvellous toys”. Humour, fantasy and a touch of madness emanate from this composition. At the centre, a float is topped with turrets and drawn by a disguised and masked horse. A multitude of strange and comical little scenes follow one after another all around it: wheels, architectural elements, masks, turtles, men with animal heads, devils springing from their box, bustle about, amuse themselves and turn endlessly.
