Henri d’Origny’s design Mors et gourmettes celebrates his close attention to the detail of a collection of Renaissance bits and curb chains, delicate yet simple and understated – the work of German and Italian artisans. This latest design presents the pieces against the backdrop of a tie motif formed from small, flexible letter Hs. Remix! The word has the ring of a Potter-esque magic spell, creating new compositions based on familiar harmonies. Borrowed from the world of music, it describes the ability to adapt or reinterpret an existing theme, giving it a second life. Henri d’Origny has taken the concept to heart, reorchestrating his original score, and reinterpreting his classic creation for future audiences.
