Hermes silk twill scarf, hand-rolled (100% silk)A portion of all proceeds will be donated to The Battery Conservancy in New York City.

This scarf was designed to capture the vibrant life that is to be discovered at the Battery.

The Battery is one of the oldest public open spaces in New York City, and contains a major landmark, the Castle Clinton National Monument. The Battery is a lively, 25-acre public park found at the southern tip of Manhattan.

Created in 1994, The Battery Conservancy is a non-profit educational corporation founded to rebuild and revitalize The Battery. The Conservancy preserves The Battery’s heritage with sustainable practices.

Hermès and The Battery Conservancy are united by shared values - specifically a commitment to preserve cultural heritage, passion for nature, and recognition of the role that public green spaces have in bringing communities together. The landscape design is ideal for protecting the natural environment and encourages the growth of local educational programs. The Battery is the welcoming place of the world’s visitors coming to see the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor.

As a special tribute to this treasured and historic part of Manhattan, The Battery New-York scarf is a colorful, contemporary expression of the park’s unique character. Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Artistic Director of Hermès, commissioned Parisian artist Ugo Cattoni to design this original artwork to capture the vibrant life to be discovered at the Battery.

A portion of all proceeds from this limited-edition scarf will be donated to The Battery Conservancy in support of its enduring mission.
