Hermes silk twill scarf, hand rolled, 36" x 36"
For this scarf, the artist was inspired by a famous collection of rings belonging to a certain Ghysels family which are depicted in a book entitled “Bagues ethniques d’Afrique, d’Asie et d’Amérique.” With each ring, we walk the paths of history, traveling to Africa, America and Asia. The artist’s design is an interpretation of rings from around the world, including several rings from the Hermès collection. Before our eyes, rings unfold on a ribbon, like a necklace of seashells from the beaches of the world.
