Emile Hermès, passionate collector, built over time the memory of the House. The Hermès archive contains a unique collection of emblematic devices, used to identify the owners’ stables. At hunt meetings and equestrian competitions, horses waiting for their riders wear “dress blankets” – specially-made woollen covers, with monogrammed cotton check sleeves.
